SMS Nonwoven Fabric Production Line EB Series is full automatic pp spun bond nonwoven or melt blown nonwoven fabric making machine which start from pp feeding, heating, extrusion, filtration, spinning, filament drafting, fiber forming, embossing, winding and slitting. Moreover, it can be easily operated and maintained.
Spunbond Nonwovens (SMS) are composite nonwoven fabrics produced by combining the advantages of spunbond and meltblown polypropylenes. They are used in filtration materials, absorption products, medical materials and disposable products.
In the nonwoven field, it has many advantages such as high strength, abrasion resistance, filter efficiency, barrier properties and so on. It can be used as an important raw material for advanced medical protective articles, such as medical gowns, drapes, surgical face masks and diapers.
SMMS can be produced by on-line composite process, which can fully utilize the advantages of online compounding. However, it has its own disadvantages such as high cost, limited production capacity and insufficient uniformity.
How to produce a SMS Nonwoven?
SMS composite nonwoven fabric can be made through the on-line process of combining the advantages of both spinbond and meltblown polypropylenes. It can be formed into three layers: the upper and lower two are spunbond, and the middle is meltblown. This composite process is often referred to as one-step on-line compounding.
Compared with meltblown nonwovens, SMS can have more strength and abrasion resistance, but its uniformity is poorer and its barrier properties are inferior. Moreover, it has low mechanical properties and little elongation. For this reason, SMS is usually used in combination with spunbond and meltblown.
